David Levinson
David is a farmer and one of the sweetest people I've come to know in the recent years. He is originally from Providence, Rhode Island, but I got to know him when he moved to Port Townsend, Washington. In Port Townsend he worked with Olympic Pennisula farmers to maintain ethical and susstainable seed production as part of the Organic Seed Alliance. Last season he also farmed a chunk of land at Corona Farms. David loves Black Sabbath.

Hazel Pine
I had tea with Hazel Pine. Hazel is a masterful baker. The chocolate chip cookies she made that day were truly amazing. Hazel is a force - thoughtful, gentle, and absolutely straight-forward about her opinions. While we sipped tea we talked about her selection of china, where to buy the best bacon in town, and what it would be like to shoot pornography for a living.

Perrin Teal-Sullivan
Perrin and I have collaborated a lot over the years on installations (Remains of Hills) and Videos (Her War) amongst many other things. I just recently visited her in Fairbanks, Alaska, where she revels in the strange and idiosyncratic nature of living at the edge of the artic. Nich Mcelroy
Nich is photographer, scholar, classic Volvo connoisseur and one of the few sheep shearears in Western Washington. He came by with his Volvo Duett and his dog Finn, I was really interested to have him show me his shearing tools.
